Montana Summer Trip

Emma & Mama went out to visit Granmom in Montana this summer! We had a wonderful trip - and had so much fun with Emma! She did great on the plane flights (until the last leg home)...and loved the cool mountain air! We were blessed with great weather while we were there...and just made the most of our short trip! We got to see a total of 5 bears - one of which was a mama bear with 2 cubs! So adorable! Also saw a Mama moose and her baby! We went horseback riding (not Emma), and went to Yellowstone (Old Faithful) one day. Great times! Enjoy some pictures!

We had a wonderful 4th of July trip up to North Carolina! We got to visit MeMe & Pop Pop, Aunt Dana, Uncle Hank, and Cousin Sophie! The 2 little girls had a blast together! They were so adorable...had multiple tea parties...played golf...went hiking...chased bubbles...and went swimming. Their favorite, however, was playing with rocks. Which reminds me...Emma learned 2 new words on our trip: "rocks" and "light." Of course, rocks sounds more like "ox," but adorable nonetheless. Gainesville Weekend!

We went to Gainesville this weekend for Mommy's 5 Year Vet School Reunion! We had a great time showing Emma our old stomping ground! We started the weekend with a tour of the new 104,000 sf Small Animal Hospital at the Vet School. Then, Emma and Mommy picked up Daddy at the Gainesville airport (from a business trip), and met classmates for dinner. On Saturday, we went to the Butterfly Rainforest exhibit and had a great time seeing thousands of butterflies. Then we shopped a little, and ran around on Florida Field! That was our highlight - it was so cool to see Emma running around on the turf! We then had a class dinner on Saturday night where Emma thoroughly enjoyed playing with all of the other kids - and then we headed home Sunday morning. What a great weekend!

15 Month Fashion Show

Emma and Mommy had fun one morning and did a photo shoot with Emma in her room! We had so much fun - and got some GREAT pictures! Enjoy our favorites!!!

Father's Day

So, Emma's Daddy was traveling for work over Father's Day Weekend...so Mommy & Emma planned a surprise belated Father's Day celebration! We got free tickets to Disney, and spent the afternoon at the Magic Kingdom & Epcot! We all had a wonderful day! It was SO neat to see Disney through Emma's eyes! She was just in awe...loved all of the rides and just had a great day! We also got to celebrate Father's Day Weekend with Grandad, Grandpa Ric, and Pop Pop! What a fabulous weekend! Sea World & Brevard Zoo!

We've had a fun week! We took Emma to Sea World last Thursday night with her friends, Austin, Hailey, and Collin. They all had a ball! Our favorite was the underwater viewing area for the dolphins and the killer whales. So neat! We got to see Tilly (the whale) up close too! Emma had a great time...checking out the animals and dancing to music! She also got to see the Shamu show and the fireworks - which she loved!

Then, we went to the Brevard Zoo on Friday - to play in their splash pad/swimming area! Again, Emma just had a blast playing with all of the kids. She went up to one little boy she didn't know and blew him a kiss! Really! She was also emulating her friends and trying to learn to swim by putting her hands on the floor of the waist deep "pool" and letting her legs and feet float!

15 Months Old!

Well, its official. Emma Anne is 15 months old today! She had her checkup and shots this morning and she is doing very well! She is growing very good - starting to slow down with weight gain but grow in height (she actually lost weight since last time)! Her stats are as follows:

Weight: 22 lbs 5 oz; 50th percentile

Height: 30"; 35th percentile

Head circumference: 18.5"; 75th percentile

(Just for comparison...at her 12 month checkup, she was in the 75th percentile for weight, 25th percentile for height, and 90th percentile for head circumference!)

Yay! She's getting taller, thinner, and her head is not getting bigger!!! She performed well - and her Pediatrician Dr. Andrew was impressed! Emma immediately walked over to her and took her pen, clicked it on, and proceeded to draw on her chart! It was hilarious. She's eating, drinking, sleeping, learning, talking etc all right on track for her age!

Her rash seems to be gone unless she goes in the sun - she thinks it was likely something viral. We also had a little mishap last night...and Emma fell in the bathtub and cut the corner of her eye. She seems fine and isn't bothered by it anymore. The doctor looked at it and thought it was fine...scared Mama and Dada though.
