Emma's First Christmas

Here is a slideshow of Emma's First Christmas! She had a ball playing with all of her new toys and books...but didn't quite get the hang of opening presents! Maybe next year! Anyway - it was a wonderful day and a very fun Christmas for everyone! Enjoy! I will try to add a video of Emma "growling" shortly!

Montana & Yellowstone!

Well - we arrived in Montana without incident! Emma was actually a very good plane traveler - with only a little whining on the plane preceding her 1 1/2 hour long nap. She did great - and as we thought, had the flight attendants wrapped around her little finger!

We have been having lots of fun in Montana - seeing the snow and the beautiful scenery. So far, Emma is not a huge fan of snow...crying when she touched it for the first time. She did great on our trip to Yellowstone - actually looking at all of the animals out the window! The funniest thing, is that Emma has learned her first animal sound! We say, "Emma - what does a bear say?" and she growls like a bear! It is hysterical!

Unfortunately, we are now all getting sick - Momma and Emma the worst. So - we are hanging low for a few days, but will add some pictures after Christmas tomorrow! We hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday...and Merry Christmas!!! Enjoy the pics so far!

She did it! She said her first word...or should I say words! Emma said "Hey Grey" (our cat) as her first words!!! Grandmom and Uncle Michael heard her say it on Monday - and Mommy and Daddy heard her say it this morning! It was so cute! She seems to be really trying to communicate...saying Dada, almost Mama, and almost Baba for bottle!

Emma is now holding her bottle very well...and is trying to feed herself baby food with a spoon. She is dancing all the time now, and loves to try to drink out of a glass. She is also very entertained by looking at herself in the mirror - she squeals at her reflection and gives herself kisses! She's growing up!!! Enjoy a few more pics of the last couple of weeks...

9 Months Old!

Emma turned 9 months old today! She had her 9 month doctor appointment, and is doing very well for her age! Her stats are as follows: Weight - 19 lb 12 oz (70th %), Height - 27 1/2" (50th %), and Head Circumference - 17 7/8 (89th %)! Her doctor said that she is growing very well - and is "her little over-achiever!" Emma was not too fond of the shots, but even less so of the finger prick to get blood to check her iron! Needless to say, she was not a happy camper. But her doctor was impressed that she is pulling up and trying to stand on her own, as well as waving, clapping, giving high fives and kisses, and is eating her solids well!

Emma's fun for the day was opening the refrigerator door by herself! I found her standing at the door looking inside for a snack! It was so funny. She also absolutely LOVES her bath time now - and will chomp at the bit to climb into the tub! And she has begun "dancing!" It is hilarious - she bounces her little knees and booty while standing up and holding onto the couch! Other than that - she is just focused on holding onto your 2 fingers and walking ALL OVER! This child cannot wait to walk! We're having a blast though! Enjoy a funny video and some new pictures of Emma and Casey!

2 New Videos!

Here are 2 recent videos of Emma - and are so cute we had to post! The first is of Emma learning to feed herself with her spoon. She is so observant...and is now trying to learn this task. It seems she learns something new every day! The second video is of Emma in her high chair last night. She would not take an afternoon nap, so we were trying to keep her up until bedtime. Well, she ate her dinner, and then proceeded to fall asleep in her high chair! Enjoy!!!
