Emma will be 7 months old this week...and drum roll....she started to crawl this weekend! It was so exciting! She is also now pulling up - it seems as if overnight, our little baby is growing up! She is into everything! Daddy had to lower Emma's crib mattress, as she was pulling up on her crib rail! I guess we have to finish baby proofing the house ASAP!
Emma had her 6 month doctor's appointment yesterday! She did very well - and smiled and showed off for Dr. Andrew! She weighed 17 lbs, 13 oz, and was in the 80th percentile for weight. She was 25 1/4" in length, and in the 49th percentile for height. And, drum roll, her head circumference is 17 1/2", a whopping 92nd percentile! The doctor was very impressed at Emma's sitting ability - and said that she is sitting like an 8 month old. She predicted that she will likely be an early walker! Fun, fun, for mom and dad! 
We cannot believe that our little baby girl is growing up!!! She is 6 months old now and is growing so fast! She is sitting up on her own...and is trying her best to learn to crawl. She gets up on all fours, and rocks back and forth...and is scooting backwards all over the living room! She is so proud of herself to be sitting up and playing with her toys like a big girl!!! Emma is doing well eating her solid food as well...she has eaten sweet potatoes, peas, butternut squash, and pears! She is really becoming quite the ham - and loves to get people's attention and give them the biggest smile! Emma still loves the water as well! And her puppy dog makes her laugh daily! Emma is 5 months old now, and had a great, relaxing weekend in Daytona Beach! We sat on the shore and felt the waves crash over us, went swimming in the pool, and watched the cars drive by on the beach (which Emma LOVED to watch)! Emma has some new toys this week! She loves her new jumper seat and is getting used to sitting in her bumbo! She is still chattering away and is smiling and laughing all the time - especially to Daddy! She is starting to get on a routine during the day and night, and lets us know when she's ready for bed! Emma is also starting to like rice cereal - which she gets a small amount one to two times a day! Emma has also seemed to notice the animals this week - she LOVES to look at and touch Casey - and just laughs when he licks her feet! She is also watching the cats, and has pet Grey! Maybe she'll be a vet like Mommy!! She is just getting so big and growing so fast! Enjoy the videos and the link to some more photos below!
Emma had her 4 month doctor's appointment today! She is growing well! She weighed 15 lbs, 4.5 oz, and was 24 1/2 inches long. She is in the 80th percentile for weight and head circumference, and the 60th percentile for height! The doctor said that is good though and as soon as she gets mobile she'll thin out! She has also been talking up a storm - we think she's finding her voice! She will just squeal in delight at Mommy & Daddy! She is also laughing a lot - it is the cutest thing ever! She is now in her crib in her nursery and is sleeping pretty well - usually waking up just once a night to eat! She sleeps mostly on her side now too! Enjoy the video below of Emma "talking!"
Emma is now 17 weeks old - or finally 4 months !!! We traveled to North Carolina for July 4th for a great visit! Emma got to see MeMe and Grandpa Tom, as well as Uncle Bryan, and she got to meet our friends Amy, Seth, and their baby Lena! We had a blast!!! Enjoy pics of the trip from the link below - where Emma got to do a lot of firsts! Emma went out on a boat, swam in a lake, ate rice cereal (not a good idea yet...), and went on her first hike. She did pretty well on the drive up and back, but she was definitely ready to get out of her car seat and be home!!!
Emma is 16 weeks old today! She has started to laugh this weekend - it is the cutest thing! She is really chattering a lot - we are trying really hard to get a good video of it, but she gets shy as soon as the camera is on! It never fails, as soon as the camera is turned off, she starts talking away again! We'll keep trying - but enjoy some chattering and smiling for now!Ok, so we are trying to learn how to post new things! Here is a video of Emma chattering away at her pink puppyon Friday morning! Emma is now 12 weeks old - she's almost to her 3 month birthday! She is doing great...playing lots, making eye contact, and really interacting with us! She is smiling all the time and is getting very vocal - which is so cute! She's putting on the weight - coming in at 13 lbs 5 oz this week on Mommy's work scale! We took Emma to Epcot for the first time...and she did very well. She enjoyed looking around and got her picture taken with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, & Donald Duck! Emma is now 11 weeks old! She is starting to develop a little personality - and graces us daily with her awesome smiles! We went to Daytona Beach for Memorial Day and she LOVED it! She loved just sitting down by the beach and feeling the breeze, and even liked her feet in the ocean! We had a good week - she is now eating more ounces at a time but less frequently! She is gaining weight steadily - is now up to almost 13 lbs!!! Emma is also working hard on her neck muscles - she is doing better and better with her tummy time! Emma is now 8 weeks old! She's had a busy week so far - including Mommy's 30th Birthday party, and going swimming for the first time with Daddy! She has her 2 month doctors appointment this week ~ and we cannot wait to see how much she has grown! She is smiling at us a lot now and we are just loving it!!!
Emma is now 7 weeks old and weighs ~ 10 1/2 pounds! She is becoming more and more alert every day - and is now smiling for us! It is so adorable! Emma had lots of visitors this week - including her Uncle Bryan from NYC, her Aunt Jane from Georgia, and Peggy & Laurie in Cocoa! Emma is 6 weeks old!! We cannot believe it! She went to the doctor last week and weighed 9 lbs 6 oz. She is more alert and interested in her environment every day - and now really likes to listen to music and look at her toys! She went on her first trip this week - to Savannah to surprise her Uncle Michael for his 20th birthday! See link for more pics of Emma's 5th & 6th weeks!
Happy Easter! Emma enjoyed her first Easter church service this morning! She is growing so fast and we are enjoying every minute! She still loves the outdoors, and now really likes being in her swing and on her jungle play mat! We cannot wait to continue watching her grow and learn! Emma is now 3 weeks old! She weighed 7 lbs 8 oz at her last doctor's appointment, and had grown almost an inch in length! She LOVES to be outdoors...as you can see above relaxing in the yellow flowers! We cannot believe it has already been 3 weeks, and are enjoying watching her grow every day! Our little angel is almost 2 weeks old!!! We can't believe it! She is doing well - gaining weight and starting to get a little personality! She is loving being outside - she enjoys laying outside on a blanket and listening to the sounds and looking at the trees and leaves! Emma has had a long first week home, but she is doing very well! Mom and Dad are super tired, but she is such a little angel - it is worth it! Emma Anne McCully was born on Sunday, March 8, 2009, at 4:20 am via c-section! She is a healthy little girl, weighing in at 6 lbs 9 oz and 19" long!! She continues to grow and is more alert and interested every day. She is such a blessing...we are so thankful to finally have her in our arms to hold!! More pictures to follow!!
We spent Valentine's day taking some maternity photos, to document the belly before baby Emma arrives! We had a great time, and ended up with some fun pictures! Everything else is going well...we have another doctors appointment today and hopefully baby Emma is growing as she should be! Christine has cut back to part-time at work - as the full days were exhausting. We are starting to put the finishing touches on Emma's nursery - complete with her name on the wall above the crib! We are very happy with how her nursery has turned out! We had another doctor's appointment yesterday, and Emma is measuring well and her heart sounds good....but found out that mom has to start cutting back on work hours. We are in the home stretch - and are just so excited to meet our little Emma soon!
Here is an updated picture of Christine at 33 1/2 weeks pregnant. Mom and baby are doing well - our last checkup showed normal growth measurements. Christine is getting increasingly uncomfortable - especially at night - but we are hanging in there! Just ~ 6 weeks until the due date! Emma is kicking and rolling around a lot - we think she is getting excited to meet everyone!
We are making progress on Emma's nursery! We got a lot of her bedding, and her crib is now all set up! Our animals are truly enjoying working in the nursery....all of this new stuff seems to intrigue them! We are getting closer and closer, and just cannot wait to meet little Emma!
We had a baby shower last weekend in Cocoa - which was a lot of fun!!! Emma got lots of great things that she will need - outfits, bouncy seat, high chair, diapers, and lots of toys & toy baskets! Above, Christine is posing with Natalie - whom she has been friends with since they were 4 years old - who is also expecting, and is due in 1 month!!! 
We are now 30 weeks pregnant and counting!!! The belly is continung to grow, and Christine is starting to get occasionally uncomfortable! Oh, and she takes up the majority of the bed!!!
